Guitar Center Akron opened March 17th 2005 and instantly became the destination for musicians in the greater Akron area. With a full line of musical equipment and a friendly, knowledgeable staff of professional musicians, you can always be sure you will get the attention you need along with professional advice. With over 10,000 square feet, there's not much we won't have to fulfill your needs. The used selection in our Akron store is starting to gain the reputation as the place to buy, sell and trade your used gear.  

We also provide a GC Garage with one of the best in the business in Don Gopp. Don can cater to all of your stringed instruments needs right here, in shop! Weekly recording workshop classes held in our state of the art recording area in our professional Hi-Tech area every Saturday is a great way to finally put those ideas you've had in your head for years onto a CD. A full range of yearly competitions as well, from our King of the Blues and Drum Off events to the newest Singer Songwriter contest. There are tons of ways to show off your talents, get yourself noticed and win tons of cool prizes.
