      The Grand Opening for Guitar Center Cerritos took place in 2003. Over a thousand people were here to welcome the new store, and over 700,000 transactions later we are still here to serve your needs. 
     The 1990's brought the creation of the world-class Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. Support for the Arts is a tradition in Cerritos; with sculpture, fountains, and other original works, installed throughout the City. A music chain that shared the enthusiasm of making art in music saw an opportunity in this city to expand, and enhanced the city's vision of art by bringing in a different element. Once a location was decided upon, worked on, stocked, and filled up with a delighted sales crew, Guitar Center Cerritos was born.
  
     Our store contains a professional Recording Room, featuring computers that store every recording, sampling, mixing, and virtual instrument software that we carry in stock. We carry Apple computers, both the IMac and MacBook. Our customers have the ability to demo software and plug-ins to ensure you have the right tools at your disposal to make your recording dream a reality. Come in and demo Avid ProTools, Cakewalk, Cubase, Logic, Ableton and more. Walk into our Pro Audio room and take a listen to every speaker we have in stock before your purchase. You can listen to JBL, Mackie, QSC, Yamaha, Harbinger, Peavey, Alto, EV and Bose speakers. Want to really impress your audience? Take a look at our lighting display, also located in our Pro Audio room. Our current lighting inventory is plugged into the latest lighting software and controls, allowing customers to see every intelligent light display its full potential. We showcase Chauvet, American DJ, Venue and Elation lights. Come in and ask for the "Tom Sawyer" demo, truly impressive!
      At Guitar Center Cerritos we have guitars!  Between new and used guitars and basses you'll find over 300 instruments to choose from! Come in and try out guitars from Fender, Gibson, PRS, Ibanez, Jackson, Daisy Rock, Dean, Schecter, Epiphone, Squier, ESP and Gretsch! 
     Guitar enthusiasts will definitely enjoy "The Vault". This room contains every high end guitar and boutique amplifier that we carry. You'll see Gibson, PRS, Fender, Musicman guitars and more. Every guitar goes through our in store Guitar Tech's 21 point inspection, making sure every  guitar plays, feels and sounds like a dream. Feel free to shut the door and turn it up! If acoustic guitars are your preference, visit the Acoustic Corral. In the Corral we have Takamine, Ovation, Laguna, Yamaha, Dean, Ibanez, Epiphone, Daisy Rock, Fender, Washburn and Mitchell guitars. The back room stores our best acoustic guitars in a nice quiet environment. Here you'll find our Martin, Taylor, Breedlove and Gibson guitars. These guitars are our best playing and sounding in our inventory and go through the same inspection as our electric high end guitars. We also have a dedicated classical/flamenco room where you'll find Rodriguez, Cordoba, Yamaha and Lucero nylon string guitars.
 
     We also carry a vast selection of drum sets for every level of player. If you desire a more unique kit, we have the ability to custom order from most drum manufacturers. We carry these manufacturers: DW, Yamaha, Tama, Pacific, Gretsch, Ludwig, Pork Pie and Pearl. With our vast selection of cymbals, together with our product knowledge, customers can walk out any day with a set of cymbals customized to their playing style and sound preference. In our cymbal room you'll find cymbals from Zildjian, Paiste and Sabian.
 
     The City of Cerritos is located in the heart of the Los Angeles/Orange County metro center, midway between Downtown Los Angeles and the business centers of Irvine, Santa Ana and Anaheim. Because Cerritos is virtually the geographic center of the Los Angeles Basin, it has become one of Southern California's premier commercial crossroads.
 
     Cerritos is served directly by three major freeways (the 91, Artesia; 605, San Gabriel; and 5, Santa Ana) and is close to two others (the 105, Century; and 405, San Diego). Surrounding cities include Long Beach, Lakewood, Bell, Downey, Norwalk, Santa Fe Springs, Artesia, Hawaiian Gardens and Cypress. The Long Beach Transit District, the Orange County Transit Authority and the Los Angeles Metro offer frequent service throughout the community.
