On a chilly October evening in 1997 the music scene in the Minneapolis Metro area focused its attention on the city of Edina.  Over 1000 people gathered to celebrate the opening of Minnesota’s second Guitar Center location.  The people waited in a line that wrapped around the 15,000 square foot musician’s paradise.  Many people had been dreaming of the exact piece of gear that they would grab once it was their turn to enter the store for the first time, some came to see the spectacle that is a Guitar Center Grand Opening, and even more showed up to get the free t-shirts, strings, and sticks that were being handed out.  Once the doors opened at 7:00 PM on October 30^th 1997, musicians and their friends and families flooded inside, and it was time for the crew at Guitar Center Edina to do what they do best:
