For the past decade, the Plymouth Meeting location of Guitar Center has added new meaning to the term "musicians serving musicians". Once you step through the doors and walk past our amazing door staff, you have access to the most diverse and unbelievably wide range of musical professionals that you can possibly find under one roof. Take a few minutes to access the crew's individual profiles and you will quickly understand why, on a daily basis, you hear one of the team members answering the question, "Whoa, what are you doing here??!!" Whether it's in response to a virtuosic guitar lick flowing out of a Marshall stack, a drum fill that defies gravity, or an in depth explanation of the inner workings of the newest Imac, the team of Plymouth Meeting has the ability, knowledge and most importantly the passion to make sure you get jet-propelled into the beautiful world of making music. And just so you know, that's what we're doing here!! We're a family of life-long musicians forming a fantastic melting pot of cultures. Some deep rooted in Philly, some from London, Los Angeles, New York City, some good old-fashioned Tennessee southerners, and the list goes on and on. All brought together in an effort to create an ideal environment that helps you, your friends and your family progress in the art of making music. Our combined experiences are at your beckoned call. From a garage band recording a rehearsal to a major label studio release, from a backyard birthday party to a sold out ampitheater, from a van trip across town to a tour bus across the country, we have the know-how to get you where you want to be.
Here at Plymouth Meeting, we strive to make your experience with us as individualized as possible. We offer multiple rooms that are isolated from the rest of the store that will allow you to fully engulf yourself in the music. In our high-end “loud lounge”, you can have some alone time with the latest Paul Reed Smith models and multiple vintage guitars or take a Mesa/Boogie half stack through the paces to see what it can do. On the more relaxed side, we not only boast a large self-contained acoustic guitar room, but there are two additional rooms inside that will allow you to hear the true, natural characters of our immense acoustic guitar selection. We encourage every drummer to take a trip into our newly designed cymbal room. That’s right, you can actually visit a drum shop and hear every nuance of your cymbals without the distractions typically associated with that environment. For the hi-tech side of things, we aren’t just limited to a couple of rooms full of speakers. We have three separate, fully functioning departments that are demo ready for your live sound, DJ, or recording needs. Whether you need to fill a congregation with music, add the latest vinyl controller, or pinpoint the perfect monitors for your studio, you can experience the music without the interference from outside sources. In addition, our fully functioning recording room becomes a hi-tech classroom every Saturday morning with our Recording Made Easy series of classes. And just so you know, each class is FREE!!
Our location is as accommodating as our staff. We're just seconds from the Pennsylvania Turnpike and minutes from multiple historical destinations. There's countless world class restaurants, concert and sporting venues, and one of the country's largest shopping malls in King of Prussia. So if you're on vacation in Valley Forge, en route to New York City, or making a tour stop in Philadelphia, you're just a quick pit stop to visit your musical family at the Plymouth Meeting location of Guitar Center.
