I was born in New York and I grew up in Cancun, Mexico. I am fully bilingual and bi-cultural. Both my parents are American and I was raised to be able to thrive in my new surroundings without letting go of my roots. That teaching has really informed my approach to everything I do.
I started playing guitar when I was 13. My first band consisted of like minded schoolmates fumbling around our instruments. A few of us stuck with it and a few of us didn't. By the time I was 16 I found myself playing professionally in local clubs. This proved to be a great training ground for a young musician. We played all kinds of music which really got my chops together, as well as opened my mind and ears to different genres.
By the time I was 20 I felt like it was time to leave Cancun and pursue a formal music education.  I enrolled at Berklee College of Music in Boston. I did the 4 year diploma program majoring in professional music, with an emphasis in arranging and performance.
After Berklee I moved to Miami with a band I had formed while at school. It was a Spanish Art Rock band that incorporated a lot of improvisation.  After making ends meet as a sideman for many Miami acts, I realized I wasn't having fun playing with 90% of the artists I was called to perform with.  At that point I realized that for music to be truly meaningful and fun (outside of making it big on my own terms) I needed to have a steady income so I could be more selective with the musicians I got involved with.
Enter Guitar Center. I applied for a guitar sales job at the GC in South Miami. After a few tries I finally got the gig. After about a month of getting my bearings I quickly became sought after in the local music community not only for my playing but also as a resource for getting local musicians the gear they needed to make their art.
After 7 years in Miami I decided I wanted to give LA a shot. I moved out here in July of 2002. I've really feel like Southern California has everything I could ever ask for in a home. L.A. is a city with a lot of music, diversity, culture, great food, a lot of nature and best of all great people!
Currently I keep myself quite busy doing music for many different projects. I have always loved the fact that GC in general and GC Hollywood in particular has been a great partner in my development both as a pro musician and a pro retailer.  I started my Guitar Center career as a guitar salesman and worked my way up to store manager. Along the way I have had great mentors who have taught me invaluable lessons in customer service as well as how to be an expert in using Guitar Centers myriad of tools and functionality.
My current client base includes, but is not limited to, folks form: Hollywood, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Glendale, NoHo, Mid Town, Downtown, Eagle Rock, Atwater, Miami, New York, Boston, Las Vegas, Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, Mexico D.F., Guadalajara, Monterrey, Cancun, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lima,  Rio de Janeiro,Sao Pablo, Bogota, Asuncion, Madrid, Barcelona, London, Berlin, Netherlands, Russia, Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul,  Israel, Turkey, Sydney, Perth and beyond.  I hope I get to put all of my experience and knowledge to work for you wherever in the world you may be.
