I started out playing percussion in junior high marching band, I migrated to guitar soon after watching the movie Crossroads and seeing Steve Vai play in that movie, I have one of each of the icons of the Electric guitar world, A Fender Strat, Gibson Les Paul and my favorite guitar of all, my Paul Reed Smith Custom 24

Musical Interests

I am a rocker at heart. However, I have recently beome very intrigued with electronic music, I like the aggressive nature of some of it and am starting to learn varios synth programs and production methods for the genre. I hope to be able to write my own songs and see if I can come up with new ideas.

I came from a fairly musical family. My father played the Saxophone when he was younger and both my parents sang in the church choir while I was growing up which eventually led me to sing in the choir also. Realizing at one point that I really didn't have a great voice, I branched out into other areas. It was only natural that I play drums since I was always tapping on everything in a rhythmic manner. Then I moved on to guitar because I really didn't think there was much market for a professional triangle player....boy how I was wrong. After High school I decided I wanted to serve my country so I joined the USMC. After that I decided that music was really where my heart was so I came to Guitar Center to help people make their musical dreams come a reality.
