Instructor Coordinator

Certified in: Bass, Ukulele, Recording, Guitar, DJ, Guitars, Drums, Keyboards, ProAudio, Accessories

My name is Nic de la Riva. I am a San Francisco Bay Area native and an instructor for GC Studios.

I have been playing bass guitar since the age of 12. I studied Jazz performance on double bass at San Francisco State University and Audio Technology at the SAE Institute in LA. Professionally, I am a gigging bassist as well as a consultant that specializes in musical technology solutions for live musicians and studios.

Some of the things I teach at Guitar Center are currently, but not limited to: Bass Guitar, Upright Bass, Ukulele, Recording, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Reason, Serato DJ, and Traktor.

If you have any questions about music, gear, or playing, I'm always available and happy to answer. My mission here at Guitar Center is to help you make music in any way possible and in turn, help you find the most fulfilling way in which you can express yourself.

Hope to meet you soon and share a part of your musical journey.
