Guitar Center has been my home for almost 13 years.  I love being surrounded by other musicians and the coolest gear in the world!

I began playing percussion in 5th grade and guitar at age 13. I definitely feel having started music with a foundation in rhythm has greatly assited me as a guitarist. Through highschool I taught guitar, played snare in Marching Band and percussion in Concert Band. Having always had a natural predilection towards writing my own material on whatever instrument I was playing, and even beginning a symphony when I was 15, I decided to major in Composition when I went to college. During that time, I marched snare for the Madison Scouts and Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps, as well as for the UNT indoor drumline winning PASIC in 1998 with highest score in the competition's history. Being a part of these extremely high level ensembles taught me the professionalism and work ethic that is difficult to attain elsewhere. After that, my focus shifted back to guitar after being offered the only scholarship for classical guitar. I hold two degrees from the University of North Texas in Composition and Classical Guitar Performance. As an avid shopper at GC before my employment, I bought my first classical at the Arlington Texas store, a Ramirez R4 in 1997.

Since then, film composing has consumed my extracurricular activities and GC has allowed me access to some of the best software around. Blending the pallets of Symphobia, Omnisphere, LA Scoring Strings, Komplete and several other diverse virtual instruments to form a complimentary audio landscape for film is quite the pleasure. It is amazing how technology has improved the artists tools!!
