GET TO KNOW GUITAR CENTER, Grand Rapids
The Grand Rapids location opened its doors on a very cold and snowy February 17th. 2002. I know this because I was there submerged in my first musical retail experience that would later develop into a career. The Grand Rapids location has employed some members of the local music scene over the years: Verve Pipe, Pop Evil and 19 Wheels. We stay involved with the musicians and music community; every year we have a great Drum Off And King of the Blues winner  from this store because of the excellent quality of extremely hard working musicians. This year we have not only offered King of the Blues and Drum Off, but involvement in the Grand Rapids Lip Dub for Don McLean’s "American Pie". Jeff Friedl from A Perfect Circle, Ashes Divide, Pusifer and Devo put on an excellent clinic this past September. We have kept involved with the music community throughout the years by building great relationships with all our customers and will continue to do so.
