Tommy grew up in the suburbs of Chicago learning how to play the drums at the early age of 11 and by 14 he was already playing professionally with his older brother Jonathan. After countless performances and recordings he graduated from Leyden High and they both moved to LA where they continued their career in music and eventually recorded their first single and album Windy City Breakdown in Bearsville NY. Ever since then Tommy has provided some of the best Pop, Rock and R&B drumming for decades. After completing his first Australian Made Tour / Aussie Film with The Divinyls featuring the band INXS performing in soccer stadiums across Australia ,he returned to the States where he performed at the iconic live Farm Aid lll Concert with Bonnie Bramlett playing in front of 75,000 people. Having already recorded the title track "The Hunger" for Michael Boltons debut Columbia Album with brother / producer Jonathan Cain in the Bay Area he then began performing in videos and TV shows with Michael. The following year the Michael Bolton Band opened up for Heart on their sold out Bad Animals Tour. He continued on for 15 years with the Michael Bolton Band performing on TV shows , videos and doing US and World Tours. Besides having a career filled with multi-platinum success, global tours, TV appearances on major networks, music videos that aired on rotation on MTV & VH1 along with numerous CD recordings, he also added his compositional and playing skills to soundtracks for hit movies The Terminator (Tane Cain & Tryanglz) and If Looks Could Kill (David Foster). He also had a #1 hit single with It's A Good Thing in Stockholm Sweden with Brett Walker and their band The Railbirds. Some of their recordings can be heard on Sound Cloud / Cain Walker Sessions. In 2018 Tommy performed on the Live Unsung Noel Christmas Concert with brother Jonathan Cain which aired on Amazon Prime. Tommy continues to perform with Jonathan on all of his solo artist and CWM performances as well as his his EDM group Beatz N Drumz he co-founded with Producer / DJ Chris Kooreman. Tommy has also created and recorded a unique and innovative way to tune any size drum to it's optimum sound. His method of tuning offers a variety of choices depending on the size of the drum kit and the drummers preference as well as checking that all of the drums in the kit are in tune with each other.
