    I started playing guitar when I was 13, after listening to my father's Gypsy Kings album. This first musical experience would lead to a lifelong fascination with all things music. It was this fascination that drove me to pursue music in the academic world, obtaining a bachelors degree in music education from San Diego State University. While studying in university, I developed proficiency on many instruments, with specific focus given to classical guitar. Other emphasized curriculum included orchestral strings, which I had studied since childhood as well. These combined experiences, along with several years of lesson teaching experience molded me into the instructor I am today.
