    Taí Aguirre graduated from Berklee College of Music with a dual degree in Music Performance and Music Business and Management. She currently resides in Capitola, California teaching orchestral strings: violin, viola, cello; beginning guitar, piano, and voice. She is able to teach multiple skill levels, but particularly enjoys working with beginners. She has been teaching for 12 years now, having taught both in classrooms and privately over that time. As for her own style of playing, she has played with many groups locally and nationally in a variety of styles such as jazz, funk, R&B and Soul, Latin, and even in a film score orchestra. Over a course of 22 years she has performed with many internationally known names such as Eva Ayllon, Gloria Estefan, the Edge, and more. She was even chosen to participate in the entertainment during SuperBowl 50's week long bash. With a long list of favorite musicians - Duke Ellington, Quincy Jones, Billie Holiday, Roy Hargrove, Prince, Regina Carter, Earth Wind and Fire, to name a few - she continues to write for herself, others, and perform; using their influence as inspiration. She enjoys what it means to share the gift of music not only in her performing but in her teaching as well. She lives on the idea that music is a part of everyone and brings out the joy in all. She still remembers when she learned her first songs on piano and violin at a very young age and sharing it with her grandparents over the phone right away. Having enjoyed learning from many teachers she strives to impart the same fun learning with all of her students.
