Extroverted and passionate about his craft, Felix has been a guitarist for about 6 years and has developed a great system for helping beginners find their voice on the guitar. He has an advanced knowledge of music theory and scales and his musical roots stem from rock and blues. Among his many influences are David Gilmour, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, and Eric Clapton. Lev has been with Guitar Center since 2021, but is a returning employee. He worked at Music & Arts before transitioning to the New London Guitar Center this year in 2025. Lev received his Master's degree in music and music education from Kishinev University of Music Republic Moldova. Has conducted orchestras, repaired pianos, and taught for 35+ years here in New London. Also taught masterclasses in piano, voice, guitar, and drums at the Kishinev Conservatory before starting his own music store. Fluent in Russian in addition to English. Lev has prepared many piano and voice students for college auditions, and is proficient at accompanying vocals for classical or jazz pieces. Lev owned his own music store and is also well-versed in special education. He has had glowing reviews from his Music & Arts students, and we are thrilled to have such a talented professional on our team! Lev has also played bass and drums in a band for over 10 years. Although it is not listed under our official offerings, Lev also has experience teaching harmonica! Whether you are studying strings, woodwinds, or percussion, Lev has what it takes to help you succeed! (Don't believe us? Try your first month, today!) He is most interested in teaching classical, but also has experience in teaching jazz and pop techniques. He is also an expert at teaching the differences between keyboard and piano, as he is a firm believer that they are played "quite differently." Lev has also taught French Horn, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Flute, and Accordion. Lev will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays, any time of day. Isaiah attends Berklee College of Music Online and is pursuing his bachelors in Music, currently. Isaiah carries a big passion for music. He currently plays bass, guitar (classical, electric and acoustic), Keyboard/piano, ukulele, mandolin, and he is hoping to learn to play drums soon. Isaiah does not carry many passions outside of music - "I eat, sleep, and breathe it!" Isaiah plans to spend most of his time practicing when not working or in a lesson. Ask about lessons with Isaiah on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays!

Lauren began her musical journey in middle school and has worked various parts of percussion throughout the past 8 years. She did drum kit for 2 years, snare drum for 3 years, and was the drumline captain for 2 years. She is currently enrolled in the jazz band at Trinity College in Hartford CT and has already taken a multi-media and sound production course. Her specialties lie in introductory jazz, marching/concert band, rock, alternative, and pop. Lauren has some impressive performance credits for her age, having played with 3 local bands of all different genres. She has also competed for drums. She has recorded at the PowerStation in New England multiple times with different bands. Her first band has recorded and released 3 singles to streaming platforms. Lauren has traveled all over New England to perform, including Lincoln Center. She Won the best percussion across all classes for the USBands National Championship in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Lauren has also played Timpani and mallet percussion, including marimba, xylophone, and vibraphone. Her upbeat and inspiring personality is sure to motivate students to go far in their instrument. Lauren also happens to play bass well, although drums will be her main focus for this position. Ask about drums with Lauren on Fridays!
