I studied classical guitar at the University of Georgia and the University of North Georgia, and I’ve performed in a variety of settings, from rock and R&B bands to college guitar quartets and countless solo performances. Specializing in Operatic vocal instruction, Emileigh focuses on techniques to build mid- to high-range vocal projection and breath control. Hi, I’m Rio! Music has always been a part of who I am—it’s not something I found, but something I’ve carried within me. I’m well-rounded in just about every genre and have played drums on two studio albums. While I’m not in a band right now (I’m focused on teaching), I still get hired by artists and bands for gigs. Outside of music, I love working out, traveling, and trying new activities that push me out of my comfort zone. Teaching allows me to share my passion and help others discover the joy of music. Hey, I’m Nate Loper (aka Late Noper)! With over a decade of teaching experience in private lessons and public school orchestras, I bring a unique blend of classical rigor and real-world fun to every lesson. My approach combines 20+ years of classical training with practical insights from my live performance career—whether it’s rocking keyboards for indie band Steady the Wave, touring Europe with the NFAF Orchestra, or sharing the stage with legends like James Brown’s former backing singer, Tony Howard. I’m also an award-winning composer, film scorer, and frontman for the funk band The Band Clark. When I’m not teaching or performing, you’ll find me composing, kickboxing, woodworking, or baking something delicious. I am a music instructor with 18 years of playing experience. I have been in several bands and have 10 years of experience performing live shows. I specialize in guitar, bass, and music production. My approach to teaching music is to have fun; I want my students to experience the same joy and wonder I feel when I play.
I play rock, metal, blues, jazz, country, reggae, and funk. I have released 1 studio EP, several singles, and I have a full album on youtube, as well as a single on youtube and bandcamp. I have been in 7 bands over the course of my music career, all having performed live gigs at various venues. I studied political science in school, and my hobbies include writing music, playing with my kids, watching movies, and playing video games.

Boone Hood is a dedicated musician and UGA alumnus deeply embedded in the Athens music scene. A lifelong player introduced to drums at age three, Boone studied Classical Guitar at UGA and is a veteran of numerous ensembles, from university guitar ensembles and glee clubs to multiple local bands.
With credits on five studio albums and many singles, Boone brings a wealth of performance experience and a genuine appreciation for all musical genres to his teaching. When not playing, he enjoys Dungeons & Dragons, reading, beekeeping, and time with his big, fluffy dog, Duffy. Boone has been sharing his passion and expertise with students at Guitar Center since 2025.

Logan is a pianist and composer born and raised in North Carolina. She has been hitting keys recreationally for 15 years and professionally for around four. She has taught private lessons for several years, teaching students of a wide variety of ages. Logan loves incorporating games into her curriculum to emphasize memorization and sight reading reflexes. Additionally, composition will be encouraged for any students, in composition lessons or not! Above all else, Logan strives to make lessons engaging by covering important content while also focusing on styles and music that are appealing to the student! She has been with Guitar Center since 2025.
Pop, jazz, blues, classical, are the main styles of piano I play, but I love learning new styles! I have many film / game soundtracks out on all streaming platforms, about three albums worth. My music can be found under my name 'Logan Wynns,' and hopefully soon under my pop project called 'Mrs. Torso.' I am currently in a metal band called 'MOONDIAL' that has released a single, is working on an EP, and has several live gigs in the area! I'm pursuing further music education at UGA for Music Composition, with piano as my primary instrument and a focus on Film Scoring. My hobbies include cooking, watching movies with friends and family, writing, and playing video games! I have a beautiful cat and dog that hate each other, but we're working on that. Music has been integrated into my life from a very young age but I really fell in love with it when I started to make my own music in high school.

They specialize in Alternative and Heavy music performance and production, but have a background in Pop music which aids in the cleanliness and quality of their practice. They have a decade of experience in guitar performance and are super passionate about any and all things guitar related. They've produced several songs for bands in the Athens area across various genres and still actively works with people in the local music scene. If you're interested in picking up guitar or starting to record music they are ready to help. They have been with Guitar Center since 2025.

I'm a lifelong player, an Athens native, an enthusiastic educator, and a gentle soul with an open heart. I hope to give you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to help overcome your obstacles and anxieties through music. Whether that be through pounding on drums at a mile a minute, shaking the rafters with some new DJ mixes, diving into our minds through penning the most insightful of verses, or hammering on one chord for an hour, my aim is for you to go home feeling like a rockstar. Carter has been playing music for over fourteen years and teaching for eight, specializing in drums and music production. A graduate of the University of Florida School of Music, Carter has developed a versatile foundation across genres—growing up on rock and funk, studying jazz and fusion throughout high school and college, and performing contemporary Christian music for years at church.
As an educator, Carter focuses on building strong fundamentals so students can express themselves creatively with confidence. His lessons emphasize both individual skill development and ensemble performance, helping students thrive in collaborative musical settings. Over the years, Carter has performed, composed, and recorded in a wide range of contexts, from studio albums and indie film scores to international work in Dublin, Ireland with the Improvised Music Company. A Louis Armstrong Jazz Award recipient and former member of the UF Big Band, Wind Ensemble, Drumline, and Orchestra, Carter brings a wealth of real-world experience to every lesson. Carter has been with Guitar Center since 2024.

I first began teaching flute and piano in 2021, during my Sophomore year of college. I continued to teach for my remaining three years of college until I graduated in 2024, receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Reinhardt University. I continued my teaching career after my graduation as well, teaching in my hometown of Blairsville, Georgia for nearly a year, before I moved here to Athens. Teaching has always been an important part of my life; being granted the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion with others is something I value highly. My teaching experience ranges from early beginner to late intermediate, spanning all different age groups and learning requirements. I strive to ensure every student achieves their musical goal, and work to help students discover and train their own unique musical style. I've been with Guitar Center since 2025.
