Over the years, as his drumming influences and musical taste broadened, he began experimenting with various setups like single bass, double bass, and double pedal. John studied Classical Percussion, Jazz, and other forms of music at the University of Pittsburgh. Hi, my name is Audrey Beharie-McGee, and I am thrilled to be your Singing Teacher at Guitar Center, Macon! For over 40 years, music has been my life’s canvas—coloring every chapter with rhythm, melody, and meaning. I’m a proud self-taught vocalist and artist, and far from being a limitation, this has given me the freedom to explore, innovate, and connect with music in deeply personal ways. It’s this spirit of discovery and authenticity that I bring to every student I teach. My love affair with music began with the sounds of Motown, Burt Bacharach, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and the powerful and ethereal voices of Whitney Houston, Karen Carpenter and Billie Hollida, . These early influences laid the foundation for a journey that would carry me from the recording studio to the stage—and into the hearts of countless aspiring singers. In the early ’80s, I signed with PWL Records—home to Rick Astley and Kylie Minogue—followed by a major deal with Polydor Records. I also served as Promotions Coordinator for MCA Records, where I developed campaigns and radio tours for artists behind the scenes. Experiencing both the spotlight and the strategy taught me invaluable lessons about the artistry and business of music. After parting ways with Polydor, I launched Raja Records, my own label, and later built a home recording studio and production company—driven by a desire not only to create, but to help others find their voice. That same passion led me to create Vocal Zones, a performance training program that blends technique with heart, offering young artists the tools to thrive in music and in life. For the past 30 years, I’ve devoted myself to vocal coaching and artist development across all ages and skill levels. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life—watching them grow in confidence, unlock their potential, and reconnect with the joy of singing. I believe music is more than entertainment—it’s empowerment. A way to build self-esteem, discipline, and lifelong skills that resonate far beyond the microphone. At Guitar Center, I bring that same dedication, warmth, and creative insight to every lesson. Whether you're a beginner finding your voice or a seasoned singer refining your craft, I create a nurturing, energetic space where students feel inspired, challenged, and seen. Together, we’ll shape your sound, explore your artistry, and celebrate every milestone along the way. Let’s make music that matters—one voice at a time.

Hi, I’m Brian McGee, and I’ve been living and breathing music for as long as I can remember. I grew up with the soul-stirring sounds of Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson playing on repeat in our home—those rhythms and melodies shaped the foundation of my musical identity. I started playing drums at age six, and by 15, after watching the film Crossroads, I picked up the guitar and never looked back. In my twenties, I hit the road with a punk band, playing shows up and down the East Coast, recording two albums and an EP, and embracing the raw energy of that scene. That journey eventually led me to explore thrash metal, before I found my way home—back to the soulful roots of jazz, R&B, and groove-based music that originally inspired me. In 1997, my musical world expanded again when I was introduced to Meshell Ndegeocello’s bass work. I fell in love with the bass guitar, and not long after, during a studio session, I encountered Pro Tools for the first time. That moment lit a fire in me for music production. I dove into GarageBand, then worked my way into mastering Logic Pro X, where I now spend much of my time remixing, creating mashups, and producing original tracks across genres like EDM, Hip-Hop, and R&B. As a self-taught musician, I understand the importance of learning through feel, passion, and experimentation. That’s the heart of how I teach—I don’t believe in rigid methods or making music feel like a chore. Instead, I guide my students to discover their own rhythm, to trust their ear, and to grow their skills in a way that feels natural, creative, and empowering. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to produce tracks that sound like what you hear on the radio, I’m here to help you make that leap. Music isn’t just about notes and chords—it’s about expression, connection, and finding your voice in the mix. Let’s unlock that together.
