Chris has been a musician since he first picked up the guitar at the young age of twelve. While everyone in the 80's was dancing with Kool and Saturday Night Fever (John Travolta), Chris was studying Mickey Baker's Jazz Book One. He still considers this book one of his main resources in his studies. While listening to Big Band, Jazz and Blues on his weekends, Chris found his passion for these genres. He is enthusiastic in his teaching, incorporating interesting musical memories into his lessons.

Joshua has been drumming for most of his life! He has extensive experience in competitive marching ensembles, as well as experience in bands playing a multitude of styles including Rock, Metal, Jazz, Latin, Country, and Funk. Joshua loves to share the joy of music with his students. You can see him play live here in Gainesville with his band " Mike and The Nerve".

Joey started as a percussionist at a very young age and developed a musical background in Jazz/R&B/Gospel keyboard. He trained classically at Middle Georgia State University in the piano studio of Dr. Christian Kim. Joey graduated from the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media drum program in 2009 and has since been a consistent performer and speaker at several drum clinics. Joey is well acquainted with styles from Mozambique to Swing. With more than fifteen years of education and performance experience, Joey is well prepared.

Greer started playing guitar at 11 years old and became very interested in music theory shortly after learning a few songs. Throughout middle school and high school he was in marching band and studied music theory through most of his free time. During high school he played with several bands and for churches. After graduating high school he attended the Atlanta Institute of music specializing in guitar and audio production. He has a background in playing several styles from metal, rock, and punk to jazz, blues, and fingersyle. With over 16 years of experience with guitar he can teach almost anyone how to play their favorite styles of music and the music theory behind their favorite genres.

Hi, my name is Audrey Beharie-McGee, and I am thrilled to be your Singing Teacher at Guitar Center, Macon!
For over 40 years, music has been my life’s canvas—coloring every chapter with rhythm, melody, and meaning. I’m a proud self-taught vocalist and artist, and far from being a limitation, this has given me the freedom to explore, innovate, and connect with music in deeply personal ways. It’s this spirit of discovery and authenticity that I bring to every student I teach.
My love affair with music began with the sounds of Motown, Burt Bacharach, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and the powerful and ethereal voices of Whitney Houston, Karen Carpenter and Billie Hollida, . These early influences laid the foundation for a journey that would carry me from the recording studio to the stage—and into the hearts of countless aspiring singers.
In the early ’80s, I signed with PWL Records—home to Rick Astley and Kylie Minogue—followed by a major deal with Polydor Records. I also served as Promotions Coordinator for MCA Records, where I developed campaigns and radio tours for artists behind the scenes. Experiencing both the spotlight and the strategy taught me invaluable lessons about the artistry and business of music.
After parting ways with Polydor, I launched Raja Records, my own label, and later built a home recording studio and production company—driven by a desire not only to create, but to help others find their voice. That same passion led me to create Vocal Zones, a performance training program that blends technique with heart, offering young artists the tools to thrive in music and in life.
For the past 30 years, I’ve devoted myself to vocal coaching and artist development across all ages and skill levels. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life—watching them grow in confidence, unlock their potential, and reconnect with the joy of singing. I believe music is more than entertainment—it’s empowerment. A way to build self-esteem, discipline, and lifelong skills that resonate far beyond the microphone.

Bert Mims holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Middle Georgia State University (2023) and is a graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music’s bass guitar program (2008). Bert is currently playing bass and has recorded with Kenny Ray Williams Band, Jackson Tanner Trio, Grassfed, Matt McMillan, and has played in the orchestra for shows at Theatre Macon, Macon Little Theatre, and has filled in on bass throughout the southeast with Front Porch Radio and Adam & the Testifiers.

Hello! My name is Casey Johnson. I started playing drums when I was about nine or ten years old after picking up a love for listening to music. In high school, I was happy to learn what I could from marching and jazz band, as well as performing in local theatre productions every season. Around 2020, I started trying to introduce myself from thinking rhythmically to melodically by focusing on learning the bass guitar - something I wasn’t quite so sure of myself I could do. After years of steady practice, while attending Reinhardt University under a BFA for Musical Theatre - as well as a semester at the Felix Mans’ School of Music at Truett McConnell University - I am eager to share my love for music by adapting drums, bass, electric and acoustic guitar, piano, and banjo into easygoing yet intuitive lessons to sharpen your musical skills and ear. I am very blessed to be working in Macon, GA. My favorite musicians are Jerry Garcia & Duane Allman. Eat a Peach!
