I have been teaching guitar for over 20 years. I have taught students from ages from 5 to 75 years old. I have taught all common styles of guitar to beginning students from folk, classic, rock, jazz guitar. My approach is to have students learn at least the basics of all styles if their focus is electric guitar I will teach them finger picking (classic styles) or if they have a classical focus I will also give them experience of learning chords and improvisation. I am also a firm believer in developing musicality in students including study of music theory and compositional forms. I have taught advanced students sight reading, professional Bossa Nova arrangements and concert classical guitar repertoire. In addition I have developed teaching aids to enhance students ability along with the standard method books.
