Mike has played with many amateur original bands. Nowadays Mike is doing live stream covers as a looping pedal artist with drums, bass, sometimes keyboard, and singing parts. Thomasin Gadel (she/her) is a drum and bass instructor, and concert promoter based in Champaign-Urbana. She has been playing drums since 2017 and performing in live environments for nearly as long. She also has been performing as a bass guitarist since 2022, and has experience with vocals, guitar, percussion, and flute. As a working session musician, Thomasin’s musicianship has been shaped primarily by real-world experience including over one hundred shows and numerous recording sessions, dozens of artists and singer-songwriters across numerous genres including indie, punk rock, alternative, and hardcore. Thomasin uses this experience to tie fundamental theory and rudiments into practical application, creating a clear, curated path for students of any background to transition from the classroom to the stage. Outside of Guitar Center, Thomasin performs most frequently with Lys Allen (dream pop), sorry forever (indie rock), Anika Emily (pop rock), and Lily Beckert (indie pop). As of 2025, she also participates as a summer camp counselor at Girls Rock! Champaign-Urbana. She spends what spare time she has restoring vintage drums, utilizing her experience in a hands-on fashion.
