I have performed and taught for a living for basically most of my life. I spent five years touring nationally when I was younger. Lived in Pennsylvania playing and teaching locally for about 20 years, and currently have been in the Chicago area for eight years performing and teaching at Guitar Center for seven years now. I like teaching all levels from kids to older people like myself, it is a great feeling when you see how it adds happiness to their lives. About 15 years ago one of my students won the guitar player magazine contest, where you go to San Francisco and play in front of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, that was pretty cool.
