Tom is one of our most decorated members in our Lafayette team, and with that comes a wide range of experience with students of all ages and with all experience. Tom came to Lafayette in 2001 to pursue a music degree in Jazz Studies. While in college, he performed locally and internationally in a variety of situations with many wonderful artists. After completing his Bachelor of Music degree, Tom kept a full schedule performing and teaching, and later returned to school to study Music Theory & Composition, and Conducting, at the graduate level.

Aaron is originally from Berwick, Louisiana and is a graduate of Berwick High School. While there, he was a member of both the symphonic band and talented music program. He participated in many parish and district honor bands as a saxophone player, and was drum major for two years. During this time, Aaron took a deep dive into guitar and my passion for the roots of music. Continuing that passion, he joined the Royal Roots blues band in the traditional music program at UL where he is currently studying music business. He has been playing guitar for 14 years now and has developed a love for folk blues, bluegrass, rock, and some metal subgenres, but he never limits himself. Music has always been a means of relaxation and escape for him, so not only does he enjoy teaching fundamentals, but also teaching the history of music and to draw out your own musical identity. Anyone can learn how to play music and he will never pressure you to progress faster than capable.
