Born in Baton Rouge. Louisiana has always been my home, we moved to the Shreveport/Bossier area in 1999 and Shreveport has been my home ever since. I started writing poetry and songs at age 7, starting singing around age 9. I started playing instruments in my teenage years, and I was self-taught on guitar until I got into college, mainly playing Rock-N-Roll. Graduating with an Associates Degree in Music Theory and Performing Arts, I obtained more knowledge and skills to further my passion. Now, I have been writing and recording music with our band Native to the Parish. Solo/Duo acoustic sets have spot in my heart, spreading a little Neil Young everywhere I go. I also compose my own Piano Compositions with a dream to perform in a Concerto setting. My next venture is learning the Cello and to perform in an orchestra. Hi! My name is Caleb Daniels and I teach drums/percussion here at Guitar Center as well as guitar, bass, and piano. I’ve been teaching music for over a decade and the only thing I enjoy more than teaching music is actually playing music! I have earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from East Texas Baptist University in 2021 and a Masters of Music from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 2023. I am currently working on Doctorate in Jazz Studies at UNL. Originally from Louisiana, I have performed with several local, touring and educational groups.
