Lauren has been playing violin for over 25 years, viola for 20 years, cello for 17 years, and piano for 15 years. She started teaching lessons in high school and has consistently taught them since 2011 following the completion of her Music Education degree from Lebanon Valley College. She has performed in orchestras throughout her playing career from Lancaster County Youth Orchestra up to the DC Community Orchestra in Washington DC. A highlight of her time near the capital was getting to play chamber music with the principal cellist of the National Symphony. She taught in Prince George's County Public Schools for seven years and worked with ages 3-12. Her private students have ranged in age from 5 to 76. In addition to teaching lessons, she currently plays with the University of Toledo Orchestra as a community member and will sometimes freelance with her friends. In her free time she enjoys board games, traveling, and brushing up on her German and ASL skills.
