Rae Stroeve has been involved in the Portland, OR music scene for over 19 years. Forming their first (and still ongoing) band, Malady during their college years at Portland State University, they were involved extensively in projects such as jazz ensembles, folk bands, and work for the PSU orchestra. Since then, Rae has been found in every corner of the greater Portland metro music scene, supporting acts such as Ayla Ray, China Forbes of Pink Martini, and others. I did graduate work in electronic music synthesis and computer composition at the Institute of Sonology, Utrecht, the Netherlands. Played in bands and was a dance accompanist in Austin, Texas.
