Rob Clancy is a singer/songwriter, musician and producer from Bucks County, PA. He began his musical journey at age 11 as a drummer, later transitioning to guitarist at 17, playing in various rock, blues, jazz, pop and country bands. While attending Drexel University, Rob focused his efforts on songwriting and began to frequent open mics and jam sessions in the Philadelphia area. Shortly after graduating, he started Cold Roses, a 6-piece rock/blues band as singer, songwriter and guitarist. Rob is an experienced guitar, vocal and drum teacher whose goal is to inspire students to make music a lifelong journey by providing a solid foundation to build upon. Understanding rhythmic and melodic concepts, improvisation and playing with other musicians, scales, chords, basic techniques, knowing your gear, songwriting, “maintenance techniques” (mostly applies to singers), and basic recording techniques are some of the many avenues explored during lessons, in efforts to help make music your own. While not playing music he enjoys exercising, yoga, being outside, random DIY projects, training in Krav Maga (martial arts), and is a model train enthusiast.
