I am a patient and caring instructor who always has his student's bests interests at heart. I enjoy working with students of all ages. You are never too young nor too old to learn an instrument. My main instrument is Guitar, and in addition, Electric bass. My musical journey began at the age of 10 years old with my first guitar. From this I discovered my musical gift: that I can hear music and figure it out quickly. This has brought me to 30 + years of experience as a Music Instructor. My foundation for honing my craft came from many years on the road - managing, performing and touring with my own bands. From those experiences, I grew to become fluent in many different styles - including Rock, Blues, Country, Funk and Jazz. Because of my musical education, I have a strong foundation of music basics such as reading, technic, theory, chords, scales and improv. I am an excellent choice for beginning to advanced students of all ages. My greatest experience of my life was moving to California in 1987 and attending/graduating from Musicians Institute, Hollywood California (class of 1987-1988). My Musicians Institute experience was amazing. The school was at its absolute prime at the time, with its world-renowned Instructor faculty. Tommy Tedesco, Joe Diorio, Scott Henderson, Steve Trovato, Paul Gilbert, and many more. Following Musicians Institute, I have studied privately with Steve Trovato and Ted Greene, two of the best guitarist I have ever known. Sí, hablamos español. After graduating Musicians Institute, I developed my skill set of speaking Spanish in San Fernando, California - working at a local music store for more than ten years. This was a wonderful learning experience with great reward for me. I can't thank the local Hispanic music community enough. Tu sueño es mi sueño. By 1998, I opened my own lesson studio and grew it to a complete store with retail sales, lesson instruction, musical performances and recitals. I was kept busy teaching, with at times having 70 students a week. As a self-employed business man, this was absolutely the best experience for me. I recently moved to Tennessee from California to pursue more musical opportunities such as teaching, songwriting, recording, and live performance. That is my heart and soul. This is Music City, this is where I belong!
