Melanie Dewey, from Syracuse New York, has been singing since she could talk, and playing piano and writing music since she was 10 years old. Now, coming full circle, one of her biggest passions is helping guide others in their journey to finding their own unique voice! Melanie started in musical theater productions, sang in chamber choirs, and played in rock bands throughout high school and college. She now fronts her nationally acclaimed touring project MELD, and has played in over 30 cities. MELD has toured the country playing several festivals such as Bonnaroo (campground stage), Music on the Mothership, and Sonic Bloom. The band has shared stages with Teddy Geiger, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers, The Main Squeeze, Ayla Nero, Brothers Past, and more. She has been featured in NPR, Nylon Mag, Live for Live Music, Forbes, and more for her original music. Melanie accredits much of her successes to her education. She has truly learned from the best of the best - studying classical voice in Italy with members of the Metropolitan Opera as well as jazz and pop voice from University of Miami's renowned faculty. It is because of the early success of this well-rounded and eclectic education that Melanie derived her philosophy - Each and every musician has their own unique journey. Andy has been teaching for a very long time, starting at the young age of 10! Originally from the Jacksonville Beach area in Florida, Andy made this non-musical town his own by teaching his friends how to play guitar, bass, piano and drums. As more friends started learning, his skillset grew even more, particularly with singing and playing ukulele! Word caught on fast and Andy was soon seeing over 70 students a week.
