Joseph Foreman is from Spring, TX, and has been a multi-instrumentalist for over 15 years. Music runs in his family as his mother is a singer, and he stated that he knew he wanted to play guitar as soon as he heard and saw Carlos Santana playing. His formal musical training started at Carver Magnet High School, a Performing Arts High School here in Houston, TX. He then attended Lonestar College at the North Harris Campus, and then finalized his studies at Texas Southern University. At TSU, Joseph concentrated heavily on Jazz Guitar Performance. There he studied under Professor Horace Alexander Young in compositional techniques. Before Joseph came to Guitar Center in early 2018, he was a multi-instrument instructor and band coach for School of Rock. He loves helping his students create their own music and is a very adept songwriter. He has toured nationally, and plays bass, guitar and drums in several different musical projects over the years. As a performing and recording musician for over 10 years, Joseph is working on two projects, The Earth As We Know It, a 5 piece progressive metal band and Dorzia, a Grindcore band.

Wren's musical journey started at age 16 in Lufkin, Texas. There, they going their friends to start and perform locally in metal and punk bands around the area. They wanted to continue to learn their craft in both bass guitar and guitar, which took them to their alma mater, Angelina College. There, they studied classical and jazz guitar in both solo and ensemble settings as well as joined the jazz band. It was also in Lufkin where they started to learn to teach others in local music stores and privately. After serving in the Air Force, they continued their musical training at Stephen F. ​I’ve been playing piano since the age of five, when my father first introduced me to the basics of piano theory, rhythm, and simple songs using beginner-level workbooks. As I grew older, my love for music deepened, and I began expanding my skills through personal study and formal instruction. I’ve taken additional music courses through Nin/Tin Production, where I honed my understanding of musical theory, techniques, and sheet music—often learning songs I’d hear in church choirs or on the radio. My journey as a musician truly began in the church, where I started by supporting the youth choir and eventually became the full-time keyboardist and organist during my junior year of high school.
