When I was still playing 4 or 5 gigs a week and rehearsing 2 nights a week, I remember constantly making fun of my drummer for practicing with these worn down nub sticks. He would gripe about getting splinters and every other day while we were touring he would be asking for new sticks or rides to the local Guitar Center. He is an animated and interesting guy. I remember telling him, "buy a whole brick of sticks, please!" However he was particular and liked to roll his sticks before he bought them.
