    Hi my name is Corey Bowen, I graduted from Jacksonville State Univeristy with a Bachelor of Music Degree. I have performed 14 years in jazz bands and esmbles, show bands, gigs, and big bands in college. I have been teaching professionally for 6 years now, but tuaght a lot of people in high school and college, I play a wide range of instruments: guitar, bass, uklele, and mandolin. I also can teach vocal lessons. My performace specialiteis are in most styles but I particulary like Jass, Classical Guiar, Blues, Rock, Funk, Reggae, and R&B. Some musicians that influences me are Jimi Henderix, SRV, Terry Kath, Frank Zappa, Stevie Wonder, Wes Montgomery, George Benson, Joe Pass, Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorious, and Victor Wooten. Just to name a few. I love to play music because it encasulates everything (science, history, psychology, math, religion, culture, ect) Music can bring people togehter. I love hearing people say they can't do something, so I can show them that they can. I love the engagement that I can recieve from students; the moment of realization that they can play music, the lightbuld going off and the wheels beginning to turn. I am able to teach all levels and understand that each student has goals and dreams.

    Daniel has been playing guitar for 15 years. He has extensive experience playing in a variety of church bands, as well as high school concert band. He began learning blues, country, and rock&roll. Taking inspiration from Jimi Hendrix, Randy Rhoads, B.B. King, and Carlos Santana.After developing his skills in those genres, he transitioned into learning medal, taking inspiration from players such as James Hetfield, Matt Heafy, Dimebag Darrell, Zakk Wylde, John Petruuci, and many others who specialized in either technical playing or skilled rhythm based playing, utilizing those skills has allowed him to be experienced in both 6 and 7 string guitars. Currently he is playing a 7 String Ibanez and a Yamaha acoustic as his main players. In his career outside of music, he is also a teacher, and with that has the skills and understanding necessary that comes with being an instructor.

    I grew up listening to blues and rock music. I started playing guitar around 12 years old. I dabbled but began to take it seriously after high school. I bought my first acoustic and became obsessed with finger picking. I decided to transfer to a school with a music program. I took time off, saved up, and transferred to the University of Montevallo. I graduated with a BA focusing on classical guitar. While attending UM, I performed in the UM Concert Choir which was regarded as the university's premiere ensemble. We toured Europe and Northeast United States, with notable performances at Notre Dame Cathedral and Carnegie Hall. I've performed at weddings, among other places. I have now been teaching music for a over a year. My influences consists of ZZ Top, The Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Rolling Stones, and Andres Segovia. My hobby outside of music is fishing. I love the outdoors. Music runs in my family. I also love to travel and know a million useless facts about bands that I'm into.
