My name is Aaron, and I've been making music for as long as I can remember. I started singing in church at around 5 years old and learned to play the trombone in the 6th grade. I soaked up everything I could in marching band and winning individual competitions and even continued through to college, where I eventually auditioned for a spot with the top touring choir at my university and really started refiningĀ my musical approach. I had a few friends teach me some pointers on how to apply my skills to the guitar and have been jammingĀ out nearly every day since. My teaching methodologyĀ tends to focus heavily on ear training - teaching the mind to hear what we're ABOUT to do, whether we're singing or playing an instrument or turning a knob on a synthesizer. A solid grasp of the time-tested fundamentals of music will ensure that you can maintain a sense of confident awareness in any performance environment, and that means you can join the rest of us in doing the most fun thing in the world - making music with and for your friends.
