Rick (Guy) was born into a rich musical culture. His mother played classical piano, while his father played woodwinds and piano in big bands (In fact, Mr. Hendry Sr. was the first pianist to appear on the Tonight Show with Jack Parr!). Naturally, Rick started playing electric guitar at age nine and quickly began playing for churches and in the community. This led to four years as a touring artist, followed by fourteen years in the U.S. Army, where he toured Europe as a lead guitarist.
