    Melani Schwartz is an instructor for guitar, voice, ukulele, songwriting, and bass guitar. She graduated in 2013 from Luther College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, and a minor in Education. In addition to teaching private lessons, she has taught K-5 music in the Minnetonka Public School District since 2015, and directs an extra-curricular 3rd grade choir. Melani has performed with the Luther College Nordic Choir, The Singers MCA, and Singers in Accord. By the end of high school, Melani was recording and producing her own music.     I have been immersed in music all my life. I have enjoyed many opportunities to rehearse and perform with a variety of groups. I had the privilege of studying at the Perpich Center for Arts Education and MCTC as well. I am familiar with bass clef and treble clef. I am knowledgeable in Music Theory, and I can sight-read for cello and bass guitar. My main instruments are bass guitar and guitar. In recent years I have focused on cello and mandolin. Also, I enjoy playing piano and sitar. I can create a lesson plan that will imbue students with the fundamentals of music as well as help you achieve your own personal goals as a musician. Students will be able to understand key concepts such as rhythm and harmony and will develop proper technique.
