James is a seasoned guitarist who has been performing in bands for over fifteen years. Inspired by his favorite guitar player, his dad, he began learning how to play in middle school and hasn’t stopped since. After forming a band he went on to perform at concerts all over the east coast playing festivals, local shows, and opening for multiple touring bands. James went to college at SAE Institute to study to become an Audio Engineer. Inspired by meeting amazing audio engineers while being in the band scene, James wanted to become his own engineer and to make a career for himself in the audio field. After graduating, he was immediately hired by Engine Room Audio in NYC as an intern, and then eventually a General Assistant and in-house Engineer. While at Engine Room, he worked on songs for 50 Cent, and Ryan Leslie, and was also responsible for producing and recording podcasts for Angela Yee, Charlamagne tha God, Nick Cannon, and many more. After leaving Engine Room Audio, James was hired by Wyclef Jean as a lead engineer, and is still working with him today. While working with Wyclef Jean, James has engineered, mixed and mastered multiple song projects and collaborations. James and Wyclef, along with composer Leon Lacey, composed the entire score for the fourth season of the Showtime show, The Chi. Other credits include Vevo, Genius, Pass the Mic with DJ Cassidy, Stop the Hatred by MC Jin, and more. With almost 10 years of instruction under his belt, James believes that with passion, energy, and hard work, any musical goal can be achieved.
