    Kyle Stoker is a multi-instrumentalist from Richmond, Virginia and has been teaching different genres and styles of music since 2014. In 2019, he received a bachelor’s degree in music performance from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Music, after which he attended graduate school at the University of Missouri. During his time as an undergrad, Kyle taught for the marching band programs at several different high schools in the Richmond area, and held multiple residencies as a jazz musician and band leader around the city. While in graduate school, Kyle worked as the TA for the Jazz program at MU working with the director of Jazz studies. Kyle’s favorite genres to play are jazz, hip hop, funk, soul, and all kinds of rock music. As a private instructor, Kyle teaches any skill level for guitar or bass, music theory/composition, and he specializes in all kinds of percussion.

    Derek Tuttle grew up in a musical home in Richmond, Virginia and has studied music for most of his life. He began playing the saxophone in the fourth grade. In the seventh grade, Derek began studying the guitar. He continued to study both instruments through high school, at which point he attended the Oberlin Conservatory of Music where he received a Bachelor of Music degree. Derek has spent the last 10 years performing for local events throughout the Richmond metropolitan area and giving private music lessons. In addition to local performances, Derek has performed elsewhere, including cities such as Chicago and Philadelphia. These performances include recitals, musicals such as Rent, West Side Story, and Les Miserables, galas, wedding receptions, backyard gatherings, and coffee shop and bar gigs. Derek’s years of study and performance allow him to play a wide variety of musical styles, including Classical, Rock and Roll, Bluegrass, Folk, Country, Blues, Jazz, and avant garde music. When paired with his years of teaching experience, Derek has the ability to take his students from a basic level of musical study through the most advanced levels while tailoring a lesson plan for each individual that will help the student achieve his or her musical goals. Derek teaches lessons for Guitar, Saxophone, Mandolin, Ukulele, Banjo, and Electric Bass.

    Hello I am LaJuan Lee. While attending Norfolk State University, I studied Music Education with a concentration in Euphonium for the first 3 years and later switched to voice for my last 4 years. I have been a member of the Norfolk State Spartan Legion Marching Band, Concert Choir, Concert Band, Euphonium Ensemble, Voices of Inspiration Gospel Choir, and Vocal Jazz Ensemble. I have had the opportunity to perform with the Virginia Symphony in the Vocal Jazz Ensemble as well as having the privilege to perform in a live recording with the gospel artist, Elbernita "Twinkie" Clark-Terrell, as a member of the VOI Gospel Choir. I was a Recorder and Vocal Ensemble teacher at Richmond Preparatory Christian Academy. I also worked as one of the Audio and Visual technicians at my home church. Currently, I work as the bass player at New Generation Church RVA, and am in the process of having my personal music group, Geek Muzic, up and rolling.
