He has developed his skill and knowledge through study at UWM as well as performances with Aperi Animam and Milwaukee Opera Theater. Austin strives to find the perfect balance in lesson time between pedagogy, music theory, and repertoire work.

Sid's musical journey began when he heard a friend play "Nothing Else Matters," instantly feeling a deep connection with the guitar. Initially self-taught, Sid later studied Indian music at Delhi Public School. He went on to become one of the prominent guitarists in the local Indian music scene, performing with the band DECIBEL. After moving to the U.S. a few years ago, Sid joined the band SLIVER, performing at local events such as the State Fair and the Harley Davidson Fair. With extensive experience performing live both in India and the U.S., Sid has honed his skills in both recording and live performance. While he enjoys all genres of music, his passion lies in rock and metal, both listening to and playing them.

Jake McDonald is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter who has been writing, recording, and playing professionally in the Milwaukee area over the past decade. He holds a BFA in Guitar Performance from UW-Milwaukee with a focus in American Fingerstyle Guitar. He was the co-creator of Liv Records and currently runs a studio from his home, offering tracking, mixing, and mastering services. Jake plays in several local bands including A Ghost the Belongs, Shoot Down the Moon, Select Sires, and Homerow. Shoot Down the Moon has received air time on 88.9 Radio Milwaukee for their tracks Winter and Backtrack Stepping Stones.

DJ Mighty Thor has been perfecting his craft since his teenage years and has been working professionally in the music industry for nearly two decades. Throughout his career, Thor has had the opportunity to travel across the country, performing at a variety of venues and festivals, including Spring Awakening, Summerset, North Coast, and Summerfest. He has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Gunna, Zeds Dead, Biz Markie, A-Trak, DJ Craze, and many others. With a diverse musical background and extensive experience in live performance, digital DJ software, analog DJ equipment, and live sound, Thor is eager to share his wealth of knowledge and pass on valuable skills to others.

Ubaldo Pina-Martinez is a skilled multi-instrumentalist who performs with the MSO choir and various bands in the Milwaukee area. In addition to his performance work, he also runs sound for multiple acts, including V.I.P. Live. Ubaldo has experience teaching at several institutions, including the High School of the Arts. He attended the School of Music Vocation in Creston, Iowa, and is a fluent Spanish speaker. Currently, Ubaldo performs locally in Milwaukee with the band Los Nenes Del Lago.

Brian Schenk is an experienced guitarist and educator who has been teaching for over 30 years, working with students of all ages. Throughout his career, several of his students have gone on to become professional musicians. Brian specializes in teaching pop, rock, music theory, improvisation, and songwriting. He is widely regarded as an inspiring instructor known for his fun and engaging teaching style. Brian has a unique ability to explain both simple and complex concepts in a way that makes them easily understandable, making him an excellent choice for guitar students at any stage of their musical journey.

Ricky Carlson is a dedicated percussionist with over 20 years of experience in the field. He began his musical journey at the age of 10 and has continued his studies privately throughout his career. In addition to drums, Ricky is skilled in mallet percussion, piano, and enjoys studying modular synthesis as a personal hobby. Although he has performed in various groups and played numerous shows, his primary focus remains on academia.
Ricky has studied privately with notable instructors such as Eric Hollendbeck and Shilo Sterman from CSU-Fort Collins. He is currently studying under Randall Khean, a PhD in percussion performance and music education, with whom he has been working since the age of 17. Ricky has also had experience teaching students and is passionate about sharing his love for music. As he works toward his degree, he is committed to continuing his academic journey and teaching students with the utmost care.
Currently enrolled at MATC for Musical Occupation and Music Production, Ricky is an active performer, playing with The Windy Wizards jazz ensemble and the SHAW brass band. These ensembles have allowed him to explore a wide range of musical styles, including jazz, funk, and New Orleans-style music.

Xylia-Sophia (she/they) is a vocalist, composer, guitarist, and improviser with a dynamic blend of contemporary & extended techniques to inform their songwriting and performance. In the local music scene, Xy has played in multifarious performance spaces as a solo artist, a collaborator, in experimental noise settings, and in traditional contexts such as opera performances and Renaissance/Classical concerts. Drawing their educational style from well-informed techniques and creativity, every student gains their own special experience in building their sonic palette with Xy. Tommy Fritz is a skilled guitarist who graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a major in Arts Management and a minor in Jazz Guitar Studies. He has been playing guitar since the age of 10 and has since expanded his musical repertoire to include banjo, mandolin, piano, and vocals, with a versatile voice that ranges from bass to tenor. Some of his favorite musical influences include Midnight, Simple Plan, Infected Rain, Goo Goo Dolls, Tom Petty, and Waylon Jennings.
Tommy takes pride in his ability to teach a wide variety of genres, including Country/Western, Bluegrass, Blues, Rock, Pop, Rap, and more. His flexible approach makes him a great choice for students looking to explore any style of music they wish to learn.

He also plays with The Last Bees, lending his abilities to the drums, bass, lead guitar, and vocals and is also the Percussion Director for Lourdes Academy in Oshkosh, WI.

With 5 years of private teaching under his belt, he brings both technical expertise and a deep passion for music education. Will is a passionate musician currently pursuing a degree in Guitar through the Music Occupations program at MATC. He combines a deep love of performance with a strong foundation in music education. With a focus on personal growth and mentorship, he brings a unique and holistic approach to teaching—shaped by his experience working with youth and adults in roles at AIM House, Cal-Wood Education Center, and as a wilderness therapy field guide.
Beyond the classroom, Will is a dedicated collector and curator of a diverse vinyl archive of over 1,000 records, reflecting a lifelong passion for exploring music in all its forms. Whether guiding students through fingerstyle technique or sparking creativity through improvisation, they are committed to the belief that music is a powerful tool for connection, both with oneself and the wider world.

Josh Gilbert is a drumset and percussion artist originally from Nashville, Tennessee who has
been studying and playing music for the last 18 years. While his performance experience
began in Nashville, he expanded his range of capabilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area where
he studied at the prestigious University of North Texas College of Music. There he pursued a
Jazz Studies degree under the tutelage of Ed Soph, Quincy Davis, and José Aponte, all of
which are esteemed educators and performers in their own right. The influence of each helped
him create a strong musical voice of his own, equipped him with a wide breadth of musical
vocabulary, and the wisdom of how to apply each to musical scenarios spanning a range of
genres. While pursuing the study of Jazz, he also committed himself to the world of Afro-
Cuban percussion (congas, bongos, timbales, etc) with José Aponte and the intersection of
Afro-Cuban music with Jazz and Contemporary musics. He was able to perform in Latin Jazz
and Salsa groups of various sizes around DFW, in addition to his other performance
opportunities centered around Jazz, Funk, Gospel, and Country music. He has performed on
stages ranging from club dates, festivals, casinos, and more.
As an educator, Josh seeks to empower students with the technical skillsets, musical
background and history, and aural strengths to accomplish their musical goals in a manner
appropriate for the level of the learner. He hopes to create an avenue for expression and
creation his students can utilize for a lifetime should they choose. He is comfortable teaching
students from beginner to advanced in skill, and across a wide range of styles including but not
limited to Jazz, Latin Jazz, Caribbean, Funk, Rock, Gospel, Brazilian styles, Country, and more.
In addition he can instruct students curious about Afro Cuban percussion and styles as they
wish.
