Guitar Center Avondale opened its doors to the public for the first time on February 8th, 2007.  It was the fourth store opened in the Valley of the Sun, dedicated to helping musicians on the west side.  Since that time we've added programs, experts and clinics in order to be bigger and better then ever before.

One of the ways we stand out is that we have a very experienced crew, many of which have an extensive musical background to help you out.  We have graduates here from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences, a General Manager who graduated from the Berklee College of Music, and a guitar tech who went to both Musicians Institute and Robert Venn luthier school.  We also have people with real world experience, with several crew members running successful recording labels and even writing some of the tech manuals you probably have laying around your house from gear you've bought before!  Here at Guitar Center Avondale, we have the knowledge and experience to help you no matter what you might need help with.

At Avondale, we have several resources that can help you get started on your musical journey, regardless of where your passion lies.  If guitars are your thing, we have our VIP room filled with the amps and guitars of your dreams.  Plus the room is sound insulated, so test that amp out by cranking it to 11!  On the other hand, if you already have your perfect guitar and want to get all the performance possible out of it, then bring it in to our GC Garage and let our tech make it play like it's brand new again.

Maybe recording is a bit more your thing?  Don't feel left out, we have you covered as well.  How does a free class every Saturday morning to teach you how to record at home sound?  We have it!  Come by and stop in for our four part Recording Experience.  After the class, stick around and ask our recording experts any questions you might still have, or check out our demo recording computers, with hundreds of software titles that you can try out in the store before you buy!
