Comparing the Fulltone OCD and the Xotic BB Preamp Pedals. Both pedals sounded amazing, but in their own way.

The OCD was a much more dynamic pedal: In "LP mode" it sounded like an overdriven Fender amp. Warm, dynamic and cleans up nicely when rolling down the volume knob. When in "HP mode" it rocked a little harder. More gain, more mids, and sounded more like a cranked Marshall. It seems like it would be great for cutting through the mix while playing with other instruments. Overall a great pedal that can cover a lot of ground if you need a pedal that goes from slightly overdriven to classic rock overdrive.

The BB Preamp was not quite as flexible but great in a different way. Although there was not as much gain on top, it had a warmth and sustain that was super musical. Perhaps a little more vintage sounding than the OCD. The OCD was in no way harsh, but the BB pedal  had a soft warmth that reminded me of when you put on some great old vinyl record. It had a more analog/Tubescreamer-ish feel to it. It would be great to have both on a pedalboard because when I blended both pedals it was magical!
