I have been playing/performing drums and percussion for 20 years with multiple groups and school programs. My preferred styles of music to play is rock, pop, spanish rock, jazz, funk, orchestral, and marching. I hope to teach my students that learning fundamentals can expand their vocabulary to express themselves on this wonderful instrument. Performing and playing music is one of the greatest feelings in the world and to pass that onto the next generation of musicians is an absolute honor.

I have been playing music for about 20 years. i have been, both, self-taught and professionally taught. I started at a very young age taking private lessons with piano. i then later joined with a local community orchestra for children by the name of All Valley band and learned trumpet. I continued with music throughout my middle and high school years, which led me to join the high school's Marching band and also Wind Ensemble. Throughout the years, i would teach myself how to play many instruments, as i had a lot of interest in learning many other instruments. There were many different genres i love to play, many genres include Rock, Jazz, Pop, Funk as well as Genres from my Hispanic roots such as, Mariachi, Banda, Norteno and Sierreno. Something i love about music is that you are always learning something new. I always love encouraging others to try learning a new instrument and see how far they can go with it. Music has always been a part of my life and will always be more than grateful that i continued with this path.

I'm a professional musician that has been playing guitar for 25 years. I have also been playing live with multiple bands, local and across the country, for the past 15 years. I specialize in guitar, bass, production, music theory, and vocals but also work with beginner piano and ukulele students. I consider heavy music to be my home, which includes metal, hardcore, metalcore and various subgenres. I also enjoy working with indie, rock, punk, pop-punk and many other genres that come into my recording studio that I have been cultivating for the past 12 years. Some of my proudest accomplishments have been playing Warped Tour, recording a song with a member of one of my favorite bands that was used as the song to walk a bride down the aisle for her wedding, and helping bands capture their vision in the studio to share to the world. I believe music is here to bring us together and be a source of escape and I always tell my students to enjoy their time with their instrument, as we will always have it with us in our lives. I enjoy making theory and songwriting as the forefront of my teaching, so my students can learn to play what they're feeling as well as other songs.

Hello there, I am excited to help you build a foundation and get your music goals started. I started off as a self-taught musician who was and still is an advocate for a higher education. I understand the struggle of wanting to learn more or even wanting to get started in music and I can help you build your path. I know a lot of Latin music, especially a lot of Mexican regional music including the Mariachi tradition. I am always open to teach new genres and adjust to your liking.
