Has been with Guitar Center since 2024: Born and raised in West Hills California, Lexi was raised by a father that is a gifted musician. Her father is a talented guitarist that runs his own cover bands as well as tuning pianos for a living. Her dedicated parents had her take piano lessons from age four to age thirteen. By age nine her father taught her basic guitar chords and she was writing her own original songs on guitar and voice. By age thirteen she was focused on learning violin, playing in the school orchestra throughout public middle school and high school. It wasn’t until she was in her early twenties taking classes at Pierce College that she discovered the instrument she was most passionate about, Voice! Singing with no training all of her life since she was little. She finally got trained in Opera vocal technique all throughout her time in university learning how to sing Arias and Art Songs. She was able to graduate at California State University of Northridge (CSUN) with her Bachelors in Music concentrated in Vocal Arts Performance. She also studied privately and learned Contemporary Vocal technique to learn the other side of vocal technique other than Opera. Now she teaches beginning/intermediate Piano and Voice here at Guitar Center Northridge! Favorite Quote: “Just as a cherry, plum, peach and damson blossoms all posses their own unique qualities, each person is unique. We cannot become someone else. The important thing is that we live true to ourselves and cause the great flower of our lives to blossom.” Daisaku Ikeda (Buddhist Philosopher & Humanitarian)
