I grew up in Fargo ND and have been playing guitar since I was 6 years old. My Mother inspired me to learn and play all sorts of instruments at a young age. I was inspired by her and my first guitar teacher growing up to create music. This created a drive to become a better musician. I went to college for music not only to educate myself, but to educate others in the future. When I graduated, I began teaching my friends and family how to play different instruments for fun. Later I moved to Bloomington where I began teaching professionally at their Guitar Center location. I recently transferred here, Fargo, to continue teaching at guitar center and to create music with my band.

Hi, my name is Seth. Music is a way of life for me. Since before I could walk, I was finding a way to “play on drums” - whether that would be banging on the floor, clapping my hands, or even whacking things together. I first started playing drums when I was four, and for the last 15 years I have been greatly improving my craft. Throughout my high school years, I was able to claim three percussion all-states and two jazz band all-states playing the drums. Over the past seven years, piano has also become a huge part of my musical life. Although I am not classically trained, I can teach how to read sheet music, play chords, and the theory behind the music. I currently work at a church as a worship resident and I play there every week, but I love teaching the thing that has become my life: music. The genres that tend to fit me the best are gospel, jazz, and your modern day pop.

Hi, my name is Cayden. I am currently set to graduate in May from Concordia College in Moorhead with a major in Guitar Performance. I have been playing guitar for 12 years and have been studying it at a collegiate level for 4 years. My gigging experience is primarily in jazz music, in both big band and combo settings, though I also have experience with other genres, such as rock, pop, and classical. I began my collegiate career as a music education major, where I gained valuable knowledge in best instructional practices and music pedagogy. I take great pride in having the opportunity to aid others in their musical journey, and I place great value in the relationships I have formed, and will continue to form, though the world of music.

I am a life long tapper and have been playing drums on everything as long as I can remember. I played in parade drum lines, drum corps, and did percussion and drumset throughout high school. After a bit of misadventures I auditioned for the Marines as a drummer/percussionist. After boot camp and going through the Armed Forces School of Music I played for the Marine Corps band stationed in New Orleans. I played in marching, concert, and small group bands. I also listened to as much of the great jazz music in the area as I could on my own time. After the Marines I went to college at NDSU for Microbiology and Medical Laboratory Sciences. I also re enlisted in the Army National Guard reserves, in North Dakota, as a drummer. I spent 15ish years in the Army and also deployed to Iraq in 2009 with Red Bull Infantry Division out of Minnesota. I played in music ensembles throughout Iraq, as well as did missions, while trying not to bake alive in the wonderful weather they have over there. With North Dakota I played in every ensemble they have including Rock, Jazz, small ensemble, Concert Band, whomever wanted a drummer I’d step up and play. I retired in 2018 after 20 years of service as a Staff Sergent. I previously worked for the Social Security administration until I decided I needed to get back to my music. I am currently playing with a worship band in Fargo at Faith United Methodist Church. I have done all sorts of gigs in the area and love playing drums in almost any and all times and places. I bring my best experience to my teaching, and reach for just a bit more to bring out the best drummer in my students. Every student I teach wants something different from their music experience, as long as it’s getting into music and drums, I will do the best I can so they can find their own groove.
