The Fairfax store is set up for customers to be able to really spend time with their potential instrument purchases. The separate departments are almost like walking into separate stores, from your guitar store to your pro audio store etc…

Guitar Center Fairfax has a Loud Lounge so any one of our guests can close the door and crank the amp or guitar that they are interested to 11!!! The Loud Lounge also doubles as our used guitar and guitar amp room. We house a very wide selection of used guitars and amps in this room, from boutique amps to basic practice amps, from newer model guitars to vintage guitars.

Our location also houses a GC Garage. Our GC Garage is the local place to get your guitars repaired, set up or even just a basic restring. Our repair tech is a trained luthier. He does work on both guitar, bass and assorted stringed instruments.

If you are a boutique pedal fan GC Fairfax has one of the largest new boutique pedal selections in any brick and mortar store in the east. We have hundreds of pedals from great pedal builders such as Fulltone, ZVex, T-rex, Empress, Cusack, Mad Professor, Kelley and many more.

If you haven’t ever done recording come to our store any Saturday morning at 10am for our recording made easy class. This is taught in our studio room and displayed on a wall mounted flat panel so you can easily see what the instructor is teaching. These classes teach a wide variety of recording techniques. After a four week cycle of classes you can see how easy recording really is.

GC Fairfax also carries a wide selection of unique brands. We carry amps by Orange and Mesa Boogie.  If you are a drummer we carry DW collector’s kits and Dunnett snares. When it comes to hi-tech you can find a great selection of keyboards, recording microphones, recording interfaces etc… We carry microphones by Royer Labs, Neumann and B.L.U.E. as well as many others.
