I've been playing drums & percussion since 3rd grade, and have been in love ever since, going as far as moving to Minnesota to attend McNally Smith College of Music. I gig with several bands around the Twin Cities area as a fill-in drummer, and with my own bands as well. I believe in exposing my students to all styles of music to help them become a well rounded musician that can carry themselves in any musical situation.
In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, biking, and ultimate frisbee.
Alec has been teaching Drums at Guitar Center since 2023 and now also teaches piano. He has 12 years experience playing and recording rhythm section instrumentals and a BS in Music from UWRF.
Hey, my name is Maddox. I started playing guitar when I was a freshman in high school. That spring, there was a global pandemic, so I spent my quarantine playing guitar. During this time, I fell in love with classic rock bands like Pink Floyd, The Doors, Santana, and Jimi Hendrix. Inspired by their live bootlegs, I began to practice improvisation and song writing. As my musical journey progressed, I branched into more genres, more instruments, and audio production. As I continued to experiment with music, I learned a lot about self perception and expression. I joined Guitar Center in 2024 as a music instructor with hopes that I can help guide students through their personal development as musicians. In turn, I hope to have cultivated musicians that can teach themselves and others around them in order to make our communities more musical!
How's it poppin! My name is Caleb, and I teach the coolest instrument, the drums! In my lessons, I focus on mixing in fun with large-effort learning, incorporating techniques from different songs, and learning standard drum notation! These lessons are specifically designed for the individual and where I feel on my curriculum they are, and always includes a fun jam-style learning experience! I also offer standard voice lessons, incorporating and teaching vocal techniques I have learned through my own musical experience, such as state honors tenor choir and countless vocal lessons of my own. I hope to see you on my schedule!
I've been drumming my entire life because my dad played and he taught me very young. I played in middle school and high school band. I did jazz band , marching band, drumline and percussion. I am teaching myself how to play guitar. I did piano lessons as a kid and I have done vocal lessons for myself so I at least think I can sing. I've also played in a few bands throughout the years and you can hear my current band on all streaming platforms, HYPR NOVA.
When I was a kid I heard a song on the radio, "Bad to the Bone", and I knew it was my goal in life to learn how to make that sound and master it so I could teach others who wanted to learn. A good magician never reveals his secrets, but a better one will tell you everything they know and still amaze you!
