Ryan Tingle was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He began his musical journey at the age of 11 when he got a guitar (and his first lessons) as a Christmas gift, and gained a lifelong passion in music. In high school, Ryan formed a band with friends and began performing at local venues, and also joined the school band which allowed him to branch out to other instruments. Following high school, Ryan went on to pursue a degree in music at the University of New Orleans where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2014. Soon after, he started his teaching career instructing private lessons at Guitar Center, and has been teaching for more than six years. He also has experience teaching in classroom settings in both music and ACT prep. Fun fact, Ryan has once worked as a Chocolatier at a candy store! When Ryan isn't teaching, he's most likely practicing, playing, performing, or composing music. He is also an amateur astronomer and loves taking his telescope to a dark site with clear skies. Ryan loves more than anything else to share the magic of music with his students. Being able to express yourself through music is one of the best feelings in the world, and a gift he believes everyone should be able to enjoy. Ryan enjoys teaching beginner and experienced students alike of all ages and musical tastes, and loves watching his students grow in their confidence as they surprise themselves with what they can accomplish.

After getting an electric guitar in junior high, Matthew switched over to bass in high school. Matthew was classically trained on upright while practicing on an electric bass at home. In college, Matthew studied music theory with Tom Hoekstra, father of guitarist Joel Hoekstra (Rock of Ages, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Whitesnake & Night Ranger) and received an associate's degree in recording and engineering. While always having a band going, it led Matthew to a teaching opportunity in 2000 and he's been teaching since. In 2014, Matthew wrapped up an acoustic duo called Violet Moon and left Chicago for New Orleans. Studying the local sound and playing bass in an 80's hair metal tribute while recording original instrumental music fills his free time.

Andrea N. Beltrán Rodríguez, a.k.a. Drea is a vocalist, guitarist composer and producer, born and raised in the mountains of Cayey, Puerto Rico. Coming from a very musical family, she grew up listening to and learning a lot of traditional folkloric Puerto Rican music. Her mother taught her to play guitar at around 6 years old and she was also her first vocal teacher. Her father was an amateur conga player and an occasional wedding singer. At age 15 she decided to study music formally and enrolled in a special arts school in Cayey, specializing in vocal technique and choir. By age 16 she had the opportunity to sing with Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz with the high school choir at the Coliseum José Miguel Agrelot in Puerto Rico in 2017. While in high school she was rewarded a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston and started taking college credits with their international network school C.A.C.(Conservatorio de Artes del Caribe). With them she began performing around San Juan for the first time at venues like the Heineken Jazz Fest, private galas for sponsors of the school and studio recording sessions. At the age of 17 she recorded and co-produced her first single with the producer Andy Mendoza, mentored by her professor Jaime David Vasquez. After the hit of the pandemic in 2020, Beltrán began her studies with Berklee online. The artist decided to move to New Orleans in July of 2021 and take a break from school until the pandemic passed. Shortly after arriving, she joined the group ÌFÉ on vocals and minor percussion. With ÌFÉ she went on her first tour in the U.S.A. and recorded a live session for NPR’s World Café Live. In January of 2022, she took her studies back up at the University of New Orleans in which she is currently majoring in vocal jazz performance.

Has been teaching at Guitar Center since 2023. I've studied and played music, primarily guitar, for 20 years as a self-taught player. So I know all the mistakes guitarists make normally. Ive written books on beginner guitar, music theory, lead guitar, and songwriting amongst other topics. I believe that a foundation in good technique, fretboard knowledge, and disciplined practice will help anyone reach their music goals. A few of my favorite artists include the Beatles, Guns n Roses, Dream Theater, Soundgarden, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Son House, and even Taylor Swift.
