I have been playing music my whole life and from a young age my family inspired me to begin my musical journey. I joined band class in the 6th grade as a percussionist, and started taking guitar classes and lessons in the 7th grade.
I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Music Theory and Composition with a focus on technology.
I wrote a game soundtrack for a currently unreleased videogame and have worked on other soundtrack projects.
I have been teaching at Guitar Center now for nearly 2 years and have loved every moment getting to teach people things that they love!
I strive to ensure that students walk away from each lesson feeling that they got something of value and that they are having fun on their musical journey.
I have been playing since I was 8 years old. I started professionally teaching 15 years ago, and have loved every minute of it. I come from a rock background, but I love all genres. My father was a western swing/jazz guitar player, and he inspired me to begin my journey to become a musician too.
I love to inspire my students through fervently listening to their passions and interests in music. This allows me to faciliate better learning in their musical journey.
In all my years of teaching, I have found that every student I have worked with teaches me just as much as I teach them. As any lifelong guitar player will tell you, you never stop learning.
