Chris Adler meet and Greet at Guitar Center Oakdale MN!
Last month Guitar Center Oakdale was lucky enough to host a event where Meinl sponsored drummer Chris Adler (drummer from Lamb of God) was in store to do a meet and greet. The event was amazing, Meinl sent us pictures of Chris, postcards with his cymbal setup and various other gear for Chris to sign and giveaway. There were about 80 people lined up for a chance to meet Chris and grab an autograph. He was great, took pictures had some great conversations with fans and customers. While he was there we had a drawing for the gear that meinl had sent, including some practice pads, t-shirts, a signature stick bag, and a really cool signature cymbal bag.
One of the people that won a t-shirt was a grandmother who was just stopping by to let her grandson play guitar for a few mins. When she realized she won, she walked right up to Chris and said "I'm gonna have to research who you are" Everyone laughed. Before Chris left he bought a Simmons drum pad for his daughter, the gear was recommended by Aymee our operations manager who had wanted to get her daughter the same piece of gear.
The event was a huge success and the crew at Oakdale was ecstatic that our "little" store was chosen for the spot a such an event. Chris did about 10 meet and greets on this tour, except for our event they were done at mom a pops stores.
It just goes to show, it doesn't matter if you're a would famous musician or a child looking for your first drum kit... we help people make music. Very happy to have hosted this event.
So come on down to Guitar Center Oakdale! This is the place where musicians love to shop and work! Our number one priority is to help you make music!
Thanks again and hope to see you playing!
