Hello all! My name is Geoff! I am a drummer, vocalist, guitarist, bassist, songwriter, soundman, teacher, and producer. Let me tell you a little about myself so you can get to know me! I started playing music in fifth grade. I began my musical education as a clarinet player. I played the clarinet throughout middle school. I began taking drum lessons in eighth grade and have been playing ever since! While in high school, I also learned guitar as well. My first drum teacher was a man by the name of Michael Salbo. Then when I went to Millersville University I studied percussion under the instruction of Dr. Daniel Heslink. Since then, I have studied with various other drum teachers. These men include Tom Mauriello, Ray Dealey, Alan Kinsey, Rusty Gramiak, Dr. Rob Brosh, and Kenwood Dennard. Rusty Gramiak is the drum teacher that I have studied with the longest. He has done very much to help prepare me for the music business. I studied voice for several years with a woman by the name of Judy Curtis. I also studied guitar with Herb Moore and Geno White. I also worked with Special Education students in the Lower Cape May Regional School System from 2012-2016, while I worked simultaneously as a professional musician. I have had some success as a songwriter. My original song "Fake News Blues" was featured on the Millennium Music Conference 2019 compilation CD. My original song "Divided House" was nominated for the Singer-Songwriter Cape May Conference CD in 2018. My original songs "System Changes You", "Eve Of Obstruction", and "Just Be Yourself" were featured on The Indie Panda Music Blog Spotify Playlist in 2018, 2019, and 2020 respectively. I have been teaching music as a Guitar Center Instructor since 2019-Present. I have had an interesting career in the music business so far with a vast array of experiences. Experiences which have taught me lessons that I hope to share with potential students.

Music has been apart of my life since birth, I come from a linage of musicians and music producers in and out of the industry. My journey started at 1 in a half with drums in which I still play today professionally. At the age of 13, I picked up keyboard, producing, composing and at the age of 17 I picked up bass (as well as starting my journey in gigging). Each instructor customizes lessons to ensure you are learning what you like and having fun. Your instructor will start you slowly, introducing new concepts each week, plus give you exercises or easy songs to play to keep you learning at home.
Learning an instrument is an enriching and rewarding experience that creates lifelong benefits, including increased self-esteem and the boosting of memory. Additionally, benefits for school-age individuals can include improved coordination, the expanding of social skills, and higher scores in math, reading and language.
30-minute lessons allow young or beginner students to learn the basics of the instrument and start playing songs. 60-minute lessons are ideal for more advanced students looking to progress faster and focus on the finer points of technique.
This varies by age and the type of goals the student has set out to achieve. However, most new students usually spend 15–30 min. practicing daily, while advanced students can practice for an hour or more each day in between lessons.
Our flexible curriculum allows students of all skill levels to experience growth. We help create a foundational understanding of music theory through the style of music you want to play. Our instructors will work to understand your goals and passions, and make sure you are on the path to learning what you want at your own speed.
Our Lessons staff will work with you to determine your current skill level, stylistic interest and ambitions. We'll then help you choose an instructor who best suits your style and goals.
