February is Soup Up Your Setup month at GC. Here's a few cool things to Soup Up Your Setup that I reccomend:
Guitar Rig
PedalTrain PT-Pro pedalboard: This thing is huge and will accomodate almost every multi-fx unit out there, with room to spare. It's great for the Omar Rodrigues-Lopez(The Mars Volta) types...like me!
Line 6 Relay G50 Instrument Wireless: Great wireless unit that fits nicley on your pedalboard. Has great range for any guitarist and sounds fantastic!
Drum Kit
Remo Vintage Emperor heads: I love these things! they just sound great out of the box. check 'em out!
RoadRunner Tour Gig Bags: I just picked up a set of these, and they are great value! They won't make your drums sound any better, but they will definitely will protect your drums better than throwing them in the back of the van!
Recording Rig
Beyerdynamic DT770PRO-80 Headphones: It's literally like strapping 2 awesome studio monitors to your head! They don't fatigue your ears so you can wear them for days at a time. I'm pretty sure 90% of the crew here in Cincinnati own a pair of these because they are great!
Sterling Audio VMS reflection guard: If you are recording vocals in your home studio, you absolutely need one of these. Place it behind your mic and you will instantly hear the difference. It gives you instant studio mic sound in no time, and at $100, you can't beat it.
That's all for now folks! Check back soon!
