GET TO KNOW GUITAR CENTER, Lansing

Lansing offers a stable economy, great neighborhoods with affordable housing, excellent educational institutions, reasonable cost of living, a diverse population and endless entertainment options. In fact, the Lansing region was recently awarded the "Five Star Quality of Life Quotient" by Expansion Management magazine -- the only area in Michigan to receive this top rating! Less than two hours away from Detroit, Michigan's Capital City is located on the picturesque banks of the Grand River.

Lansing has a great system of parks and our River Trail offers terrific opportunities for walking and biking. The area boasts great schools, a Big Ten Conference University, nationally recognized healthcare systems, and a wealth of history and culture. In Lansing, you'll experience small-town warmth and charm while enjoying the fun and sophistication of a big city, including art, theatre, fine dining and much more.

Guitar Center is excited to be a part of the Lansing and Mid-Michigan community. This is the first and only location in Michigan to offer Guitar Center Studios with musical instruction. Guitar Center Studios offers music lessons for all levels of player—from beginner to pro—drawn from a proven world-class curriculum created in conjunction with leading music education publisher Hal Leonard.

Guitar Center Studio Offerings:

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION - Get private one-on-one instruction from experienced pro musicians. Explore any genre, from rock and metal to blues and jazz. Take advantage of flexible scheduling and walk-in clinics and workshops. Learn to play on your schedule, not someone else’s.

GROUP INSTRUCTION - Learn better when you’re working with others? No problem. We also offer group lessons designed to take your playing to the next level while learning how to work with a group of other musicians.

WORKSHOPS AND CLINICS - Learn from the best. Members can attend regularly scheduled workshops and clinics hosted by Guitar Center Studios instructors and vendor clinicians, including instrument specific topics, songwriting, gigging, the music business, technical tutorials that dig deep into music creation, and more. This is a complement to private lessons and exclusive to Guitar Center Studios students.

ROCKSHOW - This unique Guitar Center Studios program coordinates you and other musicians of similar skill and musical interest. An experienced band coach will help you learn how to play together, produce music, and be a real band. Your new supergroup will get in the studio for 2 hours a week in one of our rehearsal studios and learn 3–5 songs, complete with solos, performance techniques and a digital stereo recording. On the last Saturday of each month your group will perform a concert for your friends and family.
